Our team is global in every local situation having garnered educational and work experience from different parts of the world. This experience has been built-up over several decades with time spent on the ground in Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, US, UK and Russia. This broad base of knowledge and understanding has enabled our principals build deep and long lasting relationships and experiences across several countries. a KEN OFULUE
Principal Partner

Ken Ofulue is the Principal Partner at Iroko Capital with primary responsibility for day to day management of the firm, leading its strategic growth initiatives and client acquisition efforts in addition to overseeing the Asset Management franchise. Prior to Iroko Capital, he was one of the two partners that founded Rembrandt Advisory and its successor companies. At Rembrandt Advisory, he was responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm and development of client relationships. He led the advisory effort in the privatization sale of a major government asset, and the strategic restructuring of a major savings and loan entity among others.
Mr. Ofulue started his professional career at Ernst & Young in Houston where he supported different transactions across different industries. His experience ranged from audit, corporate finance and transaction advisory services
Mr. Ofulue holds a B.Sc. Actuarial Science & Insurance from University of Lagos and M.Sc. From the University of Houston. He is a US Certified Public Accountant.

 

aOTU HUGHES
Partner

Otu Hughes is a Partner of Iroko Capital and Head of the Investment Banking and Financial Advisory Business. Prior to Iroko, he was Chief Operating Officer of Oceanic Capital Company Limited and Head of the Investment Banking Group where he was responsible for the Company’s start-up, day-to-day management, and strategic growth efforts.
Mr Hughes was also active in transaction origination, structuring and execution. Mr. Hughes joined Oceanic Capital from KeyBanc Capital Markets Investment Banking Group in the US where he focused on providing financial advisory services to companies in the healthcare and consumer retail industries. Prior to KeyBanc, he founded Hughes, LLC to provide financial advisory services to small and mid-cap companies.
Mr. Hughes worked for Deutsche Bank Alex Brown (BT Wolfensohn) in New York in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group and started his banking career with Lehman Brothers’ Natural Resources and Emerging Markets groups. Mr. Hughes holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Howard University (Honors Program) and an MBA from Harvard Business School. 

 

aPROSPER ACQUAH
Senior Associate

Prosper Acquah is a Senior Associate with Iroko Capital with broad responsibilities for managing the execution of principal investing mandates. Prior to Iroko Capital, he was a Lead Associate with Constant Capital where he had broad responsibilities for Investment Banking/Strategic Advisory mandates.
Over the past three years, Mr. Acquah has developed specialized skills in managing mandates related to troubled bank recapitalization, structured finance transactions and principal investing transactions.
Mr. Acquah is a US Certified Public Accountant with forensic accounting and tax advisory experience.
Mr. Acquah holds a B.Sc From Pepperdine University and an MBA from the Wharton School.

 

aNADEJDA NWACHUKWU
Senior Analyst

Nadejda Nwachukwu is a Senior Analyst at Iroko Capital. Prior to Iroko Capital, she was an analyst with Constant Capital where she worked on Strategic M&A Advisory, Structured Finance and Principal Investing Transactions.
Over the past three years, she has honed her analytical skill sets with the portfolio of clients and engagements she has been involved in either as a team member or lead analyst. Specifically, she was the lead investment banking analyst that conducted the diligence and valuation of a Ghanaian conglomerate with over-levered assets in agriculture, gold and salt mining, real estate, hospitality, and education for Constant Capital Principal Investing entity. In these capacities, her skills with respect to data gathering, analysis, research, valuation and presentation have been further polished.
Mrs. Nwachukwu is a key analyst in the Acquisition Advisory for one of the distressed banks in Nigeria. She is currently Lead/Senior Analyst in multiple mandates including a N5 billion bond raise by a publicly traded company and a N5.8 billion real estate project among others.
Mrs. Nwachukwu is a Level II Candidate in the CFA Program and holds a B.Sc. Economics from the University of Lagos. She is fluent in both English and Russian.

 

aOZIOMA ONYEIBOR
Senior Analyst

Ozioma Onyeibor is a Senior Analyst at Iroko Capital. Prior to Iroko Capital, she was an analyst at Constant Capital Partners where she carried out advanced financial analysis and restructuring alternatives for several Nigerian Banks. She also created and managed investor presentations and carried out a comprehensive valuation analysis for the acquisition of a South African Mining Company. She has participated in several due diligence sessions, transaction structuring and board meetings.
Prior to joining Constant Capital, Miss Onyeibor was in the Quotations and Listing department of the Nigerian Stock Exchange where she monitored listed companies for compliance. She also carried out appraisals for companies in the insurance, manufacturing and banking industries coming to be quoted on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
Miss Onyeibor is an Associate Chartered Accountant and holds a B.Sc. in Economics from Nnamdi Azikiwe University. 


 

aOMEBERE IYARI
Analyst

Mr. Omebere Iyari is an Analyst at Iroko Capital. He started his career in the audit practice at KPMG Professional Services, one of Nigeria's leading audit and advisory firms. Prior to KPMG, he spent his National Youth Service Corps year with Bank PHB.
At KPMG, his engagements involved clients in the fast-moving financial services and consumer market industries. Here, he helped to design and implement risk management processes for a $450M company to meet the requirements of investors, creditors and the statutory authorities.
Mr. Omebere Iyari is the Lagos Site Director (Nigeria) for Generation Enterprise, an all-volunteer group of young community leaders on four continents, working to realize a shared vision: that street youth in the world's biggest cities and their most formidable slums can become successful entrepreneurs and help to pull their communities out of poverty.
Mr Omebere Iyari, a Level II Candidate in the CFA Program, graduated from Suffolk University, USA with a B.Sc. in Economics and a minor in General Business summa cum lade (where he was top of his class). He also co-founded the Economics Club and served as President of the African Club.


 

aJOE MASSAQUOI
Advisory Consultant

Joe Massaquoi is an experienced investment banking executive with over 15 years of M&A and related advisory experience. He has been affiliated with Iroko Capital since January 2011. Prior to then, he was a Director in the M&A group at Credit Suisse where he focused on transactions in the power & infrastructure sector.
Recent transactions include Constellation’s $4.5 billion sale of a 50% JV interest in its nuclear generation subsidiary to EDF, and LS Power’s $1.5 billion acquisition of a portfolio of generation assets from Dynegy. Before joining Credit Suisse in 2007, Mr. Massaquoi was a Vice President at Deutsche Bank where he worked on a number of M&A assignments across multiple sectors.
During the course of his investment banking career, Mr. Massaquoi has represented clients internationally in over 30 M&A transactions accounting for over $33 billion in aggregate consideration. In addition to his investment banking experience, Mr. Massaquoi has worked as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company and advised a number of private equity clients on post-merger integration assignments. Mr. Massaquoi received a B.S. in Physics from Morehouse College and received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.


 

aFOLA OGUNSIAKAN
Advisory Consultant

Fola Ogunsiakan is an Advisory Consultant to Iroko Capital. He is currently the Managing Partner and Founder of Cedar Capital an alternative investment management firm that invests in and actively manages early-stage and expansion stage companies. Prior to that, he was the head, business operations and business development of Motorola where he oversaw and helped manage transactions and strategic activities for the $300m Motorola Network Group in Sub-Saharan Africa, while coordinating operating processes and procedures from West and South African operating centers.
Mr. Ogunsiakan served as a program manager and strategy advisor on a $1billion successful bid for the Nigerian National Telecommunications operator by Transnational Corporation of Nigeria (Transcorp). Prior to that, he was the managing director and company adviser to Accelon Nigeria Limited a Nigerian based operating hub for data telecommunication subsidiary owned by SES Astra of Luxembourg, IDC of South Africa and Africa Venture Partners of South Africa.
Mr. Ogunsiakan worked at the management consulting company McKinsey & Co. on strategy, capital productivity, operational improvement, and restructuring engagements for multinational clients across Africa . He Co-founded Avidiant LLC a high-tech company to focus on technology related opportunities and provide e-Commerce solutions to corporations in emerging African markets.
Mr. Ogunsiakan holds a B.Sc. Architecture from Obafemi Awolowo University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. 

 

aTOSAN OMIYI

Tosan Omiyi is the Head, Support Services at Iroko Capital and is in charge of a portfolio that covers Information Technology, Human Resources, Procurement, Finance, Logistics and Administration.
She is responsible for creating an enabling work ambiance in order to ensure that strategic priorities are met and the company's services are efficiently and effectively deployed. She has also been strategically involved in personnel recruitment, compensation &benefits and employee relations . Prior to Iroko Capital she managed the entire portfolio of four Partners at Constant Capital.
Miss Omiyi holds a B.A (Hons) French from the University of Lagos. She is fluent in both English and French.
